Select#insert HTML content ain't working in IE

I've tried it like that

'<option value="boo">Boo</option>' +
'<option value="hoo">Hoo</option>'
);

- State changed from “new” to “invalid”
Could not reproduce the issue. Seems like I ran into it with some older builds where it was present
