UI #rescan methods update

Would be cool to have the #rescan methods to accept a scope element, so that the manual rescanning could be performed faster. like that
rescan: function(scope) {
(scope || document).select("....").each(...)
Then don't forget to adjust the right-rails interface with the feature.
